Die Physikalische Chemie stellt eine Verknüpfung zwischen der Chemie und der Physik dar. Sie versucht das Verhalten von chemischen Systemen ausgehend von grundlegenden physikalischen Gesetzmäßigkeiten zu verstehen.
Die Theoretische Chemie versucht durch mathematische Modellierung und konkrete, möglichst genaue Berechnungen, die Strukturen von Molekülen und ihre Wechselwirkungen, ausgehend von den fundamentalen physikalischen Grundlagen, quantitativ zu bestimmen.
Bastian presented his research "Rubazonic acids: Promising organic dyes for functional materials" in form of a poster at the GDCh Science Forum Chemistry 2023.
Anastasiia attended the SCF 2023 Congress in Nantes, France on 26th June 2023, and gave a presentation about her research "Synthesis of Rubazonic Acid Derivatives and their Polymers" for the oral sessions with the topic: "Pol&Mat: New synthesis routes for polymers and materials".
Kathrin presented her research "Oxidation of alcohols using solid-phase hypervalent iodine reagents in batch and continuous flow" in form of a poster and also through a short oral presentation at the International Conference on Hypervalent Iodine Chemistry 2023 (ICHIC 7).
